Alcilla.Desk documentation

Alcilla.Desk connects emails, documents, notes, meetings, tasks, and calendars to an AI infrastructure of your choice. Its purpose is not merely to summarize content, but to derive concrete work steps from existing information and make company knowledge more useful.

This documentation explains the most important functions, operating models, integrations, and requirements. You do not need prior experience operating an AI server or working with Ollama, Docker, or local language models.

You do not have to build the technical infrastructure yourself. We support you with planning, installation, model selection, integration, pilot projects, and ongoing operation.

Who is Alcilla designed for?

Alcilla.Desk is particularly suitable for organizations that:

  • want to use AI functions in a controlled environment,
  • want to connect emails, documents, meetings, and tasks more effectively,
  • do not want to bind all of their knowledge exclusively to a single cloud provider,
  • want to use existing local or self-hosted AI infrastructure.

The fundamental approach

Alcilla.Desk can be operated on a single workstation or as a combination of local workstations and central services. The local instance processes personal working content. An optional central service can provide approved knowledge or shared Kanban boards to multiple people.

The AI infrastructure remains interchangeable. Ollama is used in the typical local scenario. Depending on the configuration, other compatible model endpoints can also be used.
